Join me and 4 amazing women in studio for part one of two of the funniest, craziest, wildest shows AWBBS has ever done. Liz Goodgold, Bethany Owen, Silvia Schuessler and Sally Rachanow all amazing women and AWBBS alumni’s (except Bethany who soon will be) and moi, the 4 redheads and a brunette get-together. One little twist, you never know who will be answering when we talk to Bethany as she is a voice impersonator. What a great way to say good bye to 2008…then…on January 7th we say hello to 2009 with part two of the Unplugged shows, plus two new networks and a new time slot. Both shows were taped early in December so we will not be available for calls. Happy New Year to All!!

Dr Marlene Amazing Women Radio Show - Linda Carroll

Linda Carroll was adopted at birth and has lived in different areas from California to New Zealand to Oregon. Very early in her life she discovered poetry and a connection that was spiritual. As an adult, she found her birth mother who was novelist Paula Fox, this sparked a new interest in the poetry and she realized the poems were illumination of the various stages of a women’s life journey. She has brought those seven stages to her latest book: Remember Who You Are.

Introduction

Linda Carroll went on a spiritual journey and discovered many things. She found her birth Mother, and herself. She has written about this journey in her new book Remember Who you are; Seven Stages on a Woman’s Journey of Spirit. We will hear about that journey and what she learned today.

Lisa Hammond is the founder of Femail Creations a mail order catalog and Web site featuring unique items and gifts. She is also the brains behind Barefoot Parties, a home party business to help women create and follow their dreams. She has an unconventional approach to business and had become known as The Barefoot CEO. Honored by Women Business Owners, the SBA and featured in Oprah’s O magazine and the cover of Business Week. She is also the author of two books and other motivational items. Lisa and I will be in Bunny slippers during the show.

She is The Barefoot CEO and I can still remember her cover story on business week a picture of her with no shoes on. Lisa has received the SBA Business Person of the Year Award, Moms In Business Create Your Dreams award and the Soroptimist International Business & Organizations Advancing the Status of Women Award. She has been profiled in O the Oprah Magazine, on the cover of Business Week, In Touch magazine, Women’s Day, and in the Wall Street Journal. She is the author of books and other motivational products.

Dr Marlene Amazing Women brains beauty style - Skirt Working Girls

Michelle Alberda, Michelle Balog and Stacey Fleece began their careers at different times, but came together many years ago when they began honing their networking skills and building their separate business through referrals. As savvy women they wanted to capitalize on their networking power exponentially. That is how Skirt Working was born…Skirt being an acronym for Sharing Knowledge, Information & Resources Together. All three are award winning recognized leaders in their separate fields. In addition to their business success they are all active leaders in philanthropic and community organizations.

Introduction

Michelle, Michelle and Stacey have about 40 years of combined experience in financial services and the real estate industries. In 2005 that had their first SKIRT meeting with only 7 members. Now they have a full meeting roster with a waiting list of prospective members. The rewards of membership are upwards of 35% in new business (that is huge). We are going to talk about skirt today…But before we do let me tell you this…. Talk about varied backgrounds…very briefly: Michelle Alberda (Michelle #1) went from a Michigan University to South East Asia, to the Bay area as a CFP. Michelle Balog (Michelle #2) went from USC film school to New York City to the Bay area as a Real Estate Agent and Stacey Fleece went from USC in sports management to finance to hedge funds to the Bay area as a mortgage broker. All I can say is aren’t women amazing!
