Show# 73 After Me, You Come First

Dr Marlene Amazing Women brains beauty style - Sara Armstrong and Lillian Redding

Sara Armstrong and Lillian Redding are 21st Century Women and they know that women can accomplish anything. Their life experiences lead them to develop a new movement called After Me, You Come First. This movement teaches women that are stay at home workers, wives, mothers and 75% are care givers to aging parents. This Sandwich Generation is stretched so thin that at times they can’t be of any help to anyone. The movement teaches that if you aren’t good to yourself you won’t be any good to anyone else. Sara and Lillian spent many years in Uganda then escaped from the Idi Amin regime settled in Alabama where Sara became Mayor. Their lives are what books are written about…and she has.

Introduction

Sara Armstrong and Lillian Redding are two people who know that women can accomplish anything. Their life experiences are what books are written about. With their book After me, You come first they are working at starting a movement that teaches women who stay at home and take care of everyone but themselves that self care is important. What a great concept.

Show #43 Where Babies Come from Watermelons

Laura Wellington on Dr Marlene's Amazing Women Radio Show

Laura Wellington looked at what was missing in children’s television and decided to give moms what they wanted…family friendly television that really teaches core values from responsibility, friendship and respect. She used her artistic talents as a way of escaping her sadness. She invented the Wumblers; her multi-colored, multi-cultured cartoon characters that bring family friendly values and positive messages for children that entertain and teach with each episode. The Wumblers are bulbous-shaped characters whose food falls from the sky, whose babies come from watermelons, and whose stories blend inspiration, imagination, fun, spiritually and globally conscious all wrapped around a family centric message and upbeat music. Laura is at the core of this whirl wind and her story will inspire you.
