Linda Carroll was adopted at birth and has lived in different areas from California to New Zealand to Oregon. Very early in her life she discovered poetry and a connection that was spiritual. As an adult, she found her birth mother who was novelist Paula Fox, this sparked a new interest in the poetry and she realized the poems were illumination of the various stages of a women’s life journey. She has brought those seven stages to her latest book: Remember Who You Are.

Michelle, Michelle and Stacey have about 40 years of combined experience in financial services and the real estate industries. In 2005 that had their first SKIRT meeting with only 7 members. We are going to talk about skirt today…But before we do let me tell you this…. Talk about varied backgrounds…very briefly: Michelle Alberda (Michelle #1) went from a Michigan University to South East Asia, to the Bay area as a CFP. Sara Armstrong and Lillian Redding are 21st Century Women and they know that women can accomplish anything. Their life experiences lead them to develop a new movement called After Me, You Come First. This movement teaches women that are stay at home workers, wives, mothers and 75% are care givers to aging parents. This Sandwich Generation is stretched so thin that at times they can’t be of any help to anyone. The movement teaches that if you aren’t good to yourself you won’t be any good to anyone else. Sara and Lillian spent many years in Uganda then escaped from the Idi Amin regime settled in Alabama where Sara became Mayor. Their lives are what books are written about…and she has.

Annette Sym decided at 37 years old after seeing a picture of herself coming out of the water all 100 kilos (that’s about 220 lbs) as she says all squeezed into her bulging swim suit.  She sat down and cried.  She saw an overweight, unhealthy women… and that had to change.  Change it did.  In 20 months she changed a lifetime of eating wrong.  At 10 pounds from her goal she didn’t know how to get past that mark, but a pair of jeans helped. Hadley Fitzgerald has been an astrological consultant for almost 40 years and a licensed psychotherapist for 26 with degrees from UCLA and Phillips Graduate Institute.
